Kaolin clay is regarded as the gentlest clay for use in facial preparations. It actively works to soothe sensitive, irritable skin and reduce overall redness with regular use. In the long term, Kaolin clay can promote tighter and more toned skin while reducing the overall appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Green clay is known for its detoxifying properties, and is generally recommended for oily skin types. Hampton Botanic's formula is designed to accommodate all skin types and will not be overly drying for dry skin, while maintaining the purifying capabilities desired by oily skin.

Clay is notoriously difficult to preserve when pre-blended into a paste, particularly when using natural preservatives as Hampton Botanic is committed to doing. When it is so simple to mix up the required amount before using, adding a hefty preservative system to an otherwise pure product for a marginal amount of convenience just doesn't make sense to me.

Providing the pure clay dry also gives you more bang for your buck as you're not buying half a jar of water. A traditional pre-blended jar of clay mask may give you only a few applications, whereas by mixing it yourself not only are you guaranteed the freshest product, you're also getting far more uses per jar!

You can customise the face mask to your needs by mixing it with our Vanilla Moisture Mist and/or Oh My Goddess Facial Oil, which will provide your skin with an even more nourishing, moisturising experience.

INGREDIENTS: White Kaolin Clay, Green Clay

(New Stock: Australian White, Yellow & Green clays (Kaolin, Montmorillonite, Illite, Quartz, Anatase, Aqua))

DIRECTIONS: To activate, mix 1 tsp clay with approx 1/2 tsp water to create a smooth paste & apply to a clean, damp face using the brush provided, fingers or an old makeup brush. For extra nourishment add a few drops of Oh My Goddess Facial Oil. Let mask dry for 10-15 mins then remove with warm water & a soft cloth. Follow with Oh My Goddess Facial Oil and/or a gentle moisturiser for soft, healthy, nourished skin.

TIPS: Mix in a teaspoon of raw organic honey for extra antibacterial and moisturising properties. And/or add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder for a brightening effect. Note the turmeric may stain fabric and/or skin. This is temporary on skin but may require some extra washing power for your face cloth!

DISCLAIMER: Skin may appear flushed after application, this is a normal reaction to the detoxifying action of the clay. Avoid contact with eyes, broken or irritated skin. If irritation occurs remove immediately and discontinue use. We recommend patch testing. For external use only.
